molding & casting Ikonix number plates for red bull
Molding
The original number plate was sent to us by Ikonix. The silicone mold was made with 2 pour holes and registered in place by stainless steel pins.
Casting
Since this was a short run of this plate, only 1 mold was made. I dyed an opaque resin black and poured it into the mold to create each number plate.
Final Product
The stickers for each plate were supplied by the client. Each sticker was hand placed on each number plate.
Ready, Set, Go!
It was amazing to see something that I worked so hard on being used by such a big client. This BMX Red Bull race was in Hamburg, Germany.
