ABOUT ME

I'm an Industrial Designer with a background in Mechanical Engineering, Reverse Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design and Architectural Millwork. My capabilities far exceed the field of Industrial Design, and my experience is far more diverse than that of the average designer.
Starting in 1999 I worked as a mechanical reverse engineering designer. I spent my days climbing around in machines at the Hershey Chocolate factory and RR Donnelley Printing presses, removing parts that would commonly break, reverse engineer them and create working drawings so parts could be machined at lower cost than buying them from the OEM. I then went on to design machinery interfaces for printing press and mail room equipment.
In 2004 I attended The Art Institute of Philadelphia to earn my first Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Design. I graduated with high honors and received the award for Outstanding Achievement in Industrial Design.
In 2009 I attended the New School of Architecture and Design for my Masters degree in Architecture. I've always had a passion for Architecture! While I prefer the smaller scale of Industrial design, an education in Architecture is a valuable asset in the ID field. I have a greater understanding of scale, balance, structure and aesthetics because of my architectural education.
In 2013 I began working as a freelance designer and eventually turned that into my own company (OCD Creative Studio, Inc.). in the last 9 years I've had the opportunity to work on projects ranging anywhere from high volume laser cutting of skateboard grip tape, to designing and fabricating the customer service desk for a mall and commercial art and lighting for a Casino.
My extensive client list includes projects for Coyote Valley Casino, Loaded Skateboards, Alva Skateboards, Craft & Ride, UTC Mall La Jolla, Robauto, Barnes and Noble, Borders, Petco, Starbucks, MAC cosmetics, Louis Vuitton, Philadelphia SPCA, Nokia, Ikonix, Bob Haro, Boeing, Upwind Solutions, Northrup Grumman, FOX Entertainment, Civic Entertainment Group NY, Estee Lauder, Delicious Corsets just to name a few.
